As a thank-you, Freya’s mum gave us handmade ceramic “Bembel” jugs. We are deeply moved – and a little lost for words.
As a thank-you, Freya’s mum gave us these handmade ceramic “Bembel” – that’s what these jugs are called in Frankfurt. Six little keyrings, each one unique, hand-painted with hearts, treble clefs and our WUAHL lettering.
We are deeply moved – and a little lost for words. Even so, or perhaps precisely because of that, we wanted to share this with you.
For Freya
Freya Casey performed with “Was uns am Herzen liegt” from 2017 onwards and was one of our most impressive lead singers. In June she passed away far too early after a serious illness. Our benefit concert on 17 October at the Friedenskirche Ludwigsburg was dedicated to her.
Freya wrote “You Are the Light” herself and sang it with us in 2017. At the end of the concert we all sang her song together – every performer on stage, for her.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this gift. ❤️
